IC2S2 (International Conference on Computational Social Science) is an interdisciplinary event, where scientists of different areas will have the opportunity to meet and discuss about works where social systems and dynamics are investigated in a quantitative way through large datasets, either mined from various sources (e.g. social media, communication systems), or created via controlled experiments

Special Journal Issue for Selected Contributions

Instead of traditional conference proceedings, a thematic series “Advances in data-driven computational social sciences” will be published in the peer-reviewed, open access journal EPJ Data Science. Authors of selected papers - containing both original material and pertaining to the aims and scope of the journal http://www.epjdatascience.com/about - will be invited to submit their paper to this special issue. The guest editors of this volume will be : Santo Fortunato (Aalto University, Finland), Fosca Giannotti (University of Pisa, Italy) and Michael Macy (Cornell University, USA). By agreement between the publisher and the conference organization, there will be a special discount of 50% on the normal article processing charge, and a reduced fee of EUR 500,-- + VAT for every accepted and published article will be charged. Should we get extra funds we plan to reduce this fee even further.
